Tour Programme

Day 1 – ARRIVE DELHI
Today arrive in India’s capital city of Delhi. You are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to your hotel.

Day 2 – OLD DELHI SIGHT-SEEING
After a leisurely morning, tour of Old Delhi includes the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. This evening, enjoy a home hosted dinner with an Indian family.

Day 3 – NEW DELHI SIGHTSEEING / JAIPUR (5hours drive)
Morning embark on a tour of New Delhi. Drive along Rajpath, the capital’s broadest avenue to view the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. Afternoon drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Check in at your hotel.

Day 4 – AMBER FORT EXCURSION & JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
This morning ascend the mountain fortress of Amber, riding atop decorated and painted elephants. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Jaipur City as you visit the Hawa Mahal, City Palace and the ancient observatory.

Day 5 – JAIPUR / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA (5hours drive)
This morning drive to Agra, en route, visiting the abandoned ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. In Agra, visit the 16th century Agra Fort and enjoy the magnificent Taj Mahal in the warm glow of sunset. (Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday)

Day 6 – AGRA / KHAJURAHO (2hours journey in train & 4hours drive to Khajuraho)
This morning experience the train ride to Jhansi. Continue by road from Jhansi to Khajuraho, en route visiting Orchha, a medieval city frozen in time and space, existing to this day, as it must have in the 17th century.

Day 7 – KHAJURAHO / VARANASI (Flight)
Visit the Western & Eastern group of Temples before flying to Varanasi (Benares), India’s holiest city. Visit the stupas, ruins at Sarnath, scene of Buddha’s first sermon. Evening, Aarti ceremony on Ganges.

Day 8 – VARANASI / KATHMANDU (Flight)
Enjoy the sunrise during an early morning boat ride on the Ganges, followed by a walking tour of the old city. Fly to Kathmandu, capital of Nepal. This afternoon visit Durbar Square, Temple of the Living Goddess and Swayambhunath.

Day 9 – PATAN & BHADGAON EXCURSION
Today, tour the charming town of Bhaktapur, Pashupathinath and Bodhinath, followed by an afternoon tour of Patan and the Tibetan handicrafts center. This evening enjoy a presentation of Nepalese folk dances. (BD)

Day 10 – DEPART KATHMANDU / DELHI (Flight)
Today fly to Delhi. You will be met and transferred to your hotel, where rooms will be blocked for wash and change. Evening transfer to International Airport for your onward flight home. END OF OUR SERVICES
